Dear Sparks,

this message to inform all of you that on next 14th & 15th July 2017, in QTH La Spezia, will take place a commemoration of the very first naval wireless communications held by Guglielmo Marconi and the former Italian Royal Navy in the Gulf of La Spezia, from 10th to 18th July 1897, 120 years ago. On the July 20th 1937 Marconi passed away , 80 years ago.

From 10th to 18th July will be on the air the special call IY1SP, operating from the Naval Technical Museum of the Navy, in la Spezia.

A special QSL will be sent to those will QSO/HRD the special call and a special participation certificate (.pdf) will be downloaded or will be sent by e-mail at certain conditions. (see details on the QRZ.com page of IY1SP next days).
