Konstantin (Ken) Kolegov (Russia)

Hi folks, my name is Konstantin, I say Ken when I give my name on the air, it’s just easier to say. I’ve been licensed since 1972, at the age of 16. A couple of years earlier I used to operate a club station UK9FFC (formerly UA9KFC) and had an SWL callsign UA9-140-252. Self-taught the Morse code, I’m fond of DX-ing and QSL-ing. I am a former marine Radio Officer and GMDSS Radio Electronics Officer aboard different vessels and since 1991 have been active on HF and VHF bands as UA9FGR/mm. My last contract I spent aboard m/v Marina Tsvetaeva (callsign UFKU) in 2010 and retired since then but still work on land. I am on the DXCC Honor Roll and also have 5BDXCC with 160m/30m/17m/12m Endorsements, DXCC Phone, DXCC CW, DXCC Challenge, 5BWAZ, WPX of Exc., WAS and some others. I still need FR/J & KH5 to complete my DXCC Honor Roll #1. Thanks everyone who I have QSO’ed with over the years and for sending me your QSL card. I QSL 100% via the Bureau or Direct for everyone received. Keep well, guys!

2012 is my 40th year as a HAM, please take a look at my page on QRZ.COM.

73’s, Ken UA9FGR.
