Malcolm Mcleman (U.K.)
Studied Leith Nautical College and went to sea March 1956, direct employ with Blue Funnel and Glen Line, 1960 free lance Niarchos and 1961 PD Marchessini. Left the sea 1963 joining the UK coastal radio service, working at Highbridge (Portishead)/GKL, Cullercoats/GCC and Stonehaven/GND. Retired at 55, now living in SE France, continuing CW through amateur radio, GM3UIN and now F5VBU. Picture shows radio room of 1948 Niarchos-owned st “World Peace,” call sign ELAF, the first ship registered under the Liberian flag, IMO number 101.
