Special MRD station – Norddeich Radio c/s DL0DAN

During the next MRD the following crew will activate the callsign DL0DAN to remember one of the famous coast radio station of the world: Norddeich Radio c/s DAN, the Team will be composed by  Dierk – DL8LD, Onno – DL4BCE, Werner – DL8BEG, Hans-Jörg – DL7DAN, Egon – DJ6TL.

For a century Norddeich Radio has served ships at sea covering with big signals all the oceans of the world, a very efficient radio station followed the development of technologies until the satellites decide short waves were not longer required for radiocommunications at sea. People of Norddeich Radio built a Museum where it is possible to admire the great past of this coast radio, into the museum has been organized an amateur radio station with c/s DL0DAN as you can see at the end of the video below.
